Tennessee Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!      This week has seriously been one of my favorites so far. I'm so grateful for the Lakeway ward and the sweet families that take care of us!      We had zone conference this week and it was a blast. Our whole mission was there! I got to see so many people that I love! It was seriously so much fun. I always come from zone conference feeling so much better spiritually and mentally. This zone conference really helped me and I'm super grateful for that! There were lots of musical numbers, testimonies, and skits. The spirit was super strong and I laughed way too hard. I'm afraid my humor is broken from being a missionary, but that's besides the point. I'm so blessed to be in the TKM with all of these awesome missionaries <3     Christmas Eve and Christmas was full of spending time with people I love here. I don't think I'll ever stop talking about how much I love the people here. I'm so grateful that I have such a good Tennes...

#sick

Hey besties     My comp was sick this week so nothing really to talk about lol. I baked so many different things, wrote letters, and just so many random things haha. Gotta stay busy when I can't leave the apartment.      This Christmas has been so special to me! I've been able to completely focus on the Savior and I absolutely love it. We have watched the Christ Child with literally everyone. The spirit is always so strong when we watch it.      Something our mission president invited us to do is to ponder about what gift we would want to give to the Savior this Christmas. When I first heard the question, I was like well duh I serving a mission. That's like everything to the Savior. Then I really got thinking about it and Jesus Christ literally has everything we could ever give Him. The only thing that He doesn't is our agency. We have this awesome gift of agency, and when we use our agency to turn to Him then it's like we're giving the gift back!...

Holiday Season In TN

Image
Hey besties      It's finally starting to feel like Christmas time down here in the south. Not anywhere near the weather I'm used to for Christmas though. It's still pretty nice every day. Lots of Christmas activities happened this week so now I'm in the Christmas spirit yeehaw      We got to go to a YSA activity this week! It was at a cute pottery place and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I felt like an actual teenager for an hour lol. I've made really good friends with some of the girls in my ward. I LOVE THEM! So it was fun to hangout with them for the night. The pottery place was in downtown Morristown so we got to see the street all decorated for Christmas! They had lights all up the street and Christmas music playing all around. I felt like I was in a hallmark movie tbh. It was the best.      I got to see my bestie Sister Merritt this week!! The SMS team used our district to film a video for our mission Facebook page. It was actually such a fun ni...

Flu Season

Image
Hi yall!!! Not much to report from this week haha. The flu is going around like crazy here in the south. They've canceled school because of how many people are sick. The flu really throws a wrench in our plans for the week but it's okay! Our friends are all sick. Gotta love it. Tis the season.  One thing that I've come to be really grateful for this week is temples and the covenants we make in them. We are helping a member get prepared for her endowment, so we've been studying about it a lot this week! When talking with her, she was saying that her whole motivation to get to the temple is to get sealed with her parents. Her parents died awhile ago and she has missed them a ton. One day in her prayers, she prayed to feel them near her. After she closed the prayer, she felt both of her parents hugging her even if she could not see them there. She told us that she needs to have that feeling when she goes into heaven. She needs to be with her family for eternity. Isn't ...
