Holiday Season In TN
Hey besties
It's finally starting to feel like Christmas time down here in the south. Not anywhere near the weather I'm used to for Christmas though. It's still pretty nice every day. Lots of Christmas activities happened this week so now I'm in the Christmas spirit yeehaw
We got to go to a YSA activity this week! It was at a cute pottery place and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I felt like an actual teenager for an hour lol. I've made really good friends with some of the girls in my ward. I LOVE THEM! So it was fun to hangout with them for the night. The pottery place was in downtown Morristown so we got to see the street all decorated for Christmas! They had lights all up the street and Christmas music playing all around. I felt like I was in a hallmark movie tbh. It was the best.
I got to see my bestie Sister Merritt this week!! The SMS team used our district to film a video for our mission Facebook page. It was actually such a fun night. We all got to hangout at the church, film videos, and then all went out to dinner together. You should've seen the look on everyone's faces when 20 people all dressed up with name tags came into a restaurant haha.
Our ward Christmas party was this week and our blind friend Betty came with us!! Each table had trivia questions to fill out for prizes and Betty kept looking up the answers for us haha. She said that it's only fair that she can look up answers because she can't see anything else going on at the party lol. I love her.
Exchanges!!! I went back to Jefferson City with Sister Olsen! I seriously love her so much. I always learn a ton when I'm with her. She goes home after this transfer which is lowkey depressing. We had a really good day! Taught lessons in Spanish again. My 2 years of Spanish in HS is really paying off haha. We had a phone call with a guy who said he can't be taught because he's meeting Donald Trump this next week. And went into a long story about how people keep pulling out guns on his cats. Anyways, Tennessee is crazy man.
My scripture of the week is 2 Nephi 22:2
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.
I have truly found strength in Christ this transfer and I'm so eternally grateful for my Savior! What a fun time of year we are all in that is so focused on Jesus Christ! Something that I've been doing is studying the different names of Jesus Christ, and I totally invite yall to do that as well!! It has brought me to know the Savior so much more :)
Have a blessed week!! Listen to some Michael Buble Christmas music for me plz and thank you. LOVE YALL!!
