General Conference!!!
Hi yall!
Apparently there was a tornado warning this week but me and my companions slept right through it HAHA. Crazy weather out here in east Tennessee, not as bad as the west though thank goodness!
Let me tell yall, I have been converting everyone to the Lululemon fanny pack bags. My companions were with me for 5 days and last pday they got those bags. They're my favorite thing ever lol. Also last pday we went mini golfing and it was the funnest thing ever. I love my companions and my district<3 THEY'RE MY BESTIES!!!
General Conference was so so needed. I love it when it feels like the speakers are speaking directly to me. It was so spirit filled!! I was able to get so many answers and much guidance to some questions/concerns I have. GOD IS SO GOOD!! I know that Russell M Nelson is a prophet of God and that we will be blessed as we listen to his words:))
Our friend Doug absolutely loved conference and finished the Book of Mormom this week! He's literally the coolest person I've ever met. We were watching conference with some of our friends and Doug started talking to them about the Book of Mormon and just flat out taught them principles found in the scriptures. Doug is already teaching other people and he's not even baptized! Yet;)
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
In Mark 4 and Matthew 8, it gives the account of Jesus Christ calming the tempest while in the boat with His disciples. Christ had fallen asleep and then a huge storm came in. The ship was covered in the waves, the storm was raging, all while Christ was asleep in the back of the boat. When His disciples cried out for help, His response was "Why are ye fearful, o ye of little faith?" Well of course they had faith, they gave up everything to follow Christ. Yet, they still got freaked out in the storm. Similarly in our lives waves of fear can distract us, causing us to forget God's goodness, leaving us with a short-sighted and out of focus perspective. So how can we be able to sleep in the storm like Christ did? With Christ on our side, we will not go through the storms alone. The thunder, lightning, and winds can be ways to guide us to Him. With His help, we will be able to shift our earthly-perspective into an eternal-perspective. As we go through our storms with Christ, our faith not only will be tried but fortified! Jesus Christ is right there with us during our storms, He does not leave us alone! I hope that I'll be able to sleep during my storms, just like Christ did.
I know that Jesus Christ lives and that not only is He the Savior of the world but He is MY Savior and YOUR Savior! Never give up an opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ:) Have a blessed week!! LOVE YALL!!!
