Setting Apart
Sunday, July 31st, Emma was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints. She was set apart by President Leishman and President Garrett attended. It has to be one of the most spiritual experiences of my life. All day Emma had been sad saying goodbye to everyone and was having a hard time, which all of us were teary on and off all day. But when we got to the Stake Center, President Leishman visited with Emma for a few minutes and when she opened the door she had a big smile and said “Let’s do this”! Since that moment she has not shed a tear! We went in and talked about her becoming a missionary and the feelings we all had about that, and the spirit was so strong. In the blessing she was promised many things, one of which was that angels would be assigned to go with her on her mission and Scott literally saw Grandma Cheri and other angels in the room. There is no doubt that she will have the protection she will need as she goes to serve. I am so grateful for the knowledge we have that families are forever and that we will be able to be with those loved ones that have passed on again. Emma has been blessed with a confidence that is hard to describe and she is ready to share the gospel and the love that she has felt from our Savior Jesus Christ with those she comes in contact with. When we got home she had some visitors that came and we are so grateful for their love and support. (Unfortunately we missed taking some pictures with some of them, but we still love you @eastonarciaga and @kennaarciaga3)
